Preface to the book by the authors

Welcome to iris folding - the easy folding technique with fantastic results. We show you how to impress your family and friends by making attractive greetings cards out of used envelopes, and have lots of fun at the same time!

This book is made up of the books Iris Folding Compendium (originally published as IRIS Folding with Envelopes, Festive IRIS Folding and IRIS Folding for Christmas), Iris Folding Compendium Part 2 (originally published as Elegant IRIS Folding, IRIS Folding with Greetings, IRIS Folding for the Winter, and including further patterns from IRIS Folding with IRIS Folding paper) and Iris Folding Compendium Part 3 (originally published as Iris Folding for Celebrations, Colourful Folding and Iris Folding Stylish Greeting Cards).

The greetings cards are made with colourful strips of iris folding paper, origami paper, holographic paper and English and Italian luxury paper, as well as the insides of used envelopes. Look at the post you receive each day and the colourful print on the insides of the envelopes, and start collecting! If you combine the various shades and materials, you can create a new piece of art each time. Cover the hole in the centre of the card with the strips of coloured paper by following the numbered sections of the pattern. Easy!

We have collected over 460 different colours and designs. See how many you can collect. Good luck!
